Transfer the strength & power you’ll build in the weight room to increased vertical jump, increased serve speed, better lateral movement and improved overall athleticism. Volleyball is a physically demanding sport, requiring strength, power, agility, and speed.
Strength is paramount to volleyball performance; it is why the stronger athlete is always the better athlete. Spike velocity correlates to strength in the core and dominant shoulder. Lower body strength has been shown to have protective effects against “jumper’s knee”, the most common overuse injury.
Not only will strength training bring about performance gains, it will actually reduce injury rates (particularly overuse injuries) through the enhancement of motor-control and joint stability. This program is designed by our strength coaches with experience coaching volleyball athletes at the high school and collegiate level and by local varsity volleyball coach, Lauren Luttrell.
We are NOT a recruiting service, agent or travel team looking to promote a singular program. Our goal is to build a “better volleyball playing machine“. Next Level’s coaches are experienced, degree-holding strength and conditioning specialists. We build better athletes utilizing science-based training techniques. Every aspect of this program is designed to increase the volleyball athlete’s performance and maximize their genetic potential.
We don’t train weightlifters we train volleyball players that want to play at the Next Level!
Each 90-minute session focuses on:
- Vertical Jump
- Lateral Movement
- Rotator Cuff Strength
- Shoulder Stabilization and Mobility
- Sport Specific movement drill
- Change of Direction
