Split Squats are an excellent way develop both lower body and core strength, as well as improve your stability and posture. Because you are using your body’s biggest muscles (quadriceps, glutes and hamstrings), you’ll also burn more calories. This video is appropriate for all levels. Basics start with body weight split squats, bottom-up split squats, and quarter split squats. More advanced include goblet split squats, alternating lunges, reverse lunges and jump-through lunges.
