The Side Plank is an ideal stability exercise that works your entire core, lower back, glutes and hip muscles. Add resistance, crunches or leg lift, and you’ll get additional benefit in quads and hamstrings! Side Planks also help reduce lower back pain. In this video, we’ll show you a basic side plank, side plank with leg lift, and a side plank with a crunch. We also show you a side plank row and side plank reverse fly using the resistance of a Keiser machine, but you can use resistance bands for a similar effect.
