I have been the typical yo-yo dieter pretty much all of my life. I would always lose 20-25 pounds and then gain the weight back, plus more. My turning point was last spring while sitting on an airplane; I was so uncomfortable that I was just miserable. I told myself, “This is it! You are 50 years old and you want to be around for your children and grandchildren, don’t you?”
To go along with my yo-yo dieting, I would go through exercise phases. Of course they too never lasted that long, 2 – 3 months tops. I had a few friends that went to Next Level and I could tell they really loved it and it showed. They lost weight, they were still going to Next Level regularly, AND they still loved it. I joined last May and it’s one of the best choices I have ever made. I have lost over 40 pounds and I feel great!
I have energy and genuinely get excited to exercise at 6AM. The staff is highly motivating and upbeat. If my knees hurt, they always provide an alternative exercise to give me the same benefit, but without the pain.
I am so thankful that I finally found my exercise niche and motivation that will keep the weight off and keep me healthy.
