The Next Level staff is
constantly updating their skills and adding to their knowledge-base. The entire
training staff attended the three-day Perform Better Functional Training
Summit in Providence RI and came home with a wealth of knowledge. Brittany
Bailey, Next Level’s nutrition specialist and director of our EatFit program,
found Chris Mohr, Sports Nutrition Advisor to Men’s Fitness Magazine to be
especially relevant when he spoke on Nutrition Truths & Myths.
Mohr emphasized some hot
topics in nutrition and organic foods were one of them. “The food on
the end of your fork is the most powerful medicine in the world.” Here
are some highlights that Brittany thinks everyone should consider!
Where are your fruits
and vegetables coming from?
- Make sure you eat LOCALLY; it is your BEST option!
- Get to know your farmers. Local farmers markets are the
perfect place to find fresh, locally grown vegetable. To find local

- When buying organic, peels/skins are the key. Pay the
organic price difference for fruits that have skins/peels that you eat!
For example: buy the organic raspberries rather than an organic banana.
