KYLE DEHAVEN
Her involvement in sports naturally led Kyle to a career in fitness. Certified in FMS (Functional Movement Screening), she believes that working out is essential to living a healthy and happy lifestyle. Her biggest fitness challenge: fitting a workout into her busy schedule. She loves to be outdoors playing soccer, basketball, volleyball, and snowboarding, and likes to watch movies with her two yorkie-poo pups, Macy and Cousy. “Hate me now … Love me later,” a running joke she has with the Next Level clients, Kyle knows working out isn’t easy, but “I want people to push their limits and look forward to coming back every single day.” “Next Level is not your typical gym. We are like one big happy family. It is a comfortable environment for all ages and fitness levels. We truly care about each and every client, we strive to help them go above and beyond their goals, and we have the space and resources to do so.
MIKE MCCARTIN Mike is Next Level Fitness and Performance’s newest trainer. Recently earning a degree in Marketing from George Mason University, Mike decided to apply his knowledge and his desire to improve his own athletic performance to a career at Next Level. Mike is a student of many different fitness techniques and he has continued to learn and better himself. He feels “everything came together and was natural once I started working at Next Level.” Mike enjoys being in the gym, working out, and helping to coach people to become better athletes. “Seeing an athlete reach his or her goal and building relationships are what makes this job really fun for me.” Mike was a standout football player in college, earning awards like 2009 Seaboard Conference Offensive MVP, 2009 Seaboard Conference 1st Team Wide receiver, 2009 NCF Preseason All-American, 2008 Seaboard Conference Offensive Co-MVP, and 2008 Seaboard Conference 1st team Running back. An avid hunter and fishermen, Mike also plays basketball and football whenever the opportunity presents itself. “Next Level Fitness is the place to be because we have a great atmosphere where everyone, both clients and staff, is striving to become better. Everyone that comes into our facility is extremely nice and is ready to work!”
VICKI SCHRECKENGOST While her full-time “gig” is as the CFO for Gainesville-based Wetland Studies and Solutions, Inc., Vicki has helped Colby run and grow his business to what it is today. Vicki has always been active, first doing gymnastics as a child, travel softball through high school, and later regularly working out to stay fit as an adult, but says she got a new-found appreciation for how important fitness for people of all ages is when she met and married Colby 7 years ago. “I realize how lucky I am to be married to a wonderful person who is also great at guiding me toward my health and fitness goals!” “I try to eat right and exercise regularly, but I face the same challenges that everyone else does; time and diet. I am busy with my career and family, so it can be difficult to find time to workout. And, there are foods I shouldn’t eat, but I love them -- lasagna, pizza and Doritos!” An avid gardener when she’s not at work, or at Next Level, Vicki enjoys spending time in her yard with Colby and their golden retriever, Captain. She is also step-mom to Colby’s daughter Madison. Not only do we have a state of the art facility, we have experienced and caring trainers that are focused on using personalized training programs to get their clients the results they are looking for.”
SAMANTHA ALLEN Next Level's Office Manager comes with over 10 years of administrative experience and many more years of interest in sports and fitness. Since her dad was a collegiate coach when she was young, Samantha literally grew up in a gym or on a field. "When I was five the team my dad coached won the NCAA D3 National Basketball Championship. From that day forward, I was hooked on sports." Recruited to play basketball at King College in Bristol, TN where she attended for 3 years, she was the only player unanimously picked for the conference's All-Rookie Team as a freshman. She transferred to Gordon College in Wenham, MA where she also played basketball and earned a degree in English. When not working or working out, Samantha’s two kids (Tyler, 6, and Layla, one year) and Labrador Retriever keep her busy! “It’s especially tough for moms to find time to focus on themselves. But here at Next Level, we’re all in this together! We keep each other accountable and motivated.” Samantha and her husband, Brian, also love to watch sporting events from the high school to professional level. Samantha is thrilled to bring together her professional experience and passion for sports in such a rewarding atmosphere like Next Level.
BRITTANY BAILEY
"My biggest fitness challenge is motivating myself on my own, when no one else is around. It’s so much easier when you are on a team that pushes you to do it. Working out at Next Level is like being on a team. Your 'teammates' and your 'coaches' push you to do better.” Brittany is an enthusiastic Braves fan and enjoys going to football games (Go Skins!). She also spends time with her terrier mix named Reece.
LAUREN BARDWELL “Even if you are small in stature, it doesn't mean you're fit; I learned that first hand!” Lauren earned her Associate’s degree in business administration from Northern Virginia Community College and is currently working towards a degree in accounting and minoring in management at George Mason University. Lauren is an outdoorsy person having been involved in English-style horseback riding and dirt biking. Staying fit allows her to keep doing the things she loves. Lauren finds that her biggest fitness challenge is finding time to exercise. However, working out at Next Level gives her the energy to get through those long days whether she’s in class studying, dirt biking, or playing with her South African Boerboel.
